May-Lin Snobberfin is smart, popular, and has many cool things, but can use a lesson in what is truly valuable in friendship.  Her comments and actions make her friends feel bad.  She treats them based on things they have, how they look, or if they are popular.  Judge Boom calls May-Lin to face her friends, "the jury," and she learns from each how to care more about what makes her friends special and less about superficial things.
